We had a wonderful stay where my parents loved the comfy bed and the kids really enjoyed spending time in the pool and lounging in the leisure room. The breakfast spread was impressive, with plenty of options to fuel our day. The shower setup could use some tweaking for accessibility, but overall, it was a fantastic experience! 😊

great access to parks and eateries for weekend explorers
I loved how easy it was to explore landmarks like Lincoln Park just 3 km away, and I appreciated the warm welcome from the staff upon my arrival despite my late check-in. it made for a pleasant stay where I could relax and enjoy the local area after my long drive.

I had a great one-night stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Vandalia. The check-in process was quick, and the front desk staff greeted me with warmth. The room was clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed that made it easy to fall asleep after a long drive. I appreciated the multiple pillows for extra comfort. The bathroom was tidy, and it had all the toiletries I needed. Breakfast exceeded my expectations, a good variety and the food tasted fresh. I especially enjoyed the coffee, which was surprisingly good! On the flip side, the indoor pool was cold, which was disappointing since I was looking forward to a swim. Also, the elevator had some issues that made me a bit uneasy. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay, but a warmer pool and functioning elevator would have made it even better.

Family with kids will enjoy this
The room had a nice big work desk where I could set up my laptop. Tons of outlets to charge everything. The breakfast was excellent, and the staff were beyond friendly, especially the woman serving coffee in the morning.
It wasn’t exactly cheap, but I’d say it was still an acceptable price for the quality.

Had a great time with friends visiting nearby golf courses. The rooms were spacious and spotless, and the breakfast was a nice bonus. The staff was friendly and always available. We enjoyed the coffee and the overall vibe of the place. Definitely a solid stop if you’re on a group getaway.
One small downside was that the lobby coffee ran out a couple of times, but it was quickly replenished.
